Tudur Hen, also known as Tudur ap Goronwy, was a Welsh aristocrat who founded the House of Tudor. His political maneuvering and landholdings, secured from King Edward I of England, shaped his family’s fortunes. Despite initially supporting a rebellion against the English crown, he later reaffirmed his allegiance, ensuring the survival and prominence of his lineage. He was also instrumental in the restoration of the Franciscan friary at Bangor.
Death: Died at the age of approximately 40-50 on 11 October 1311 and was interred in Bangor Priory.
