Thomas Percy, 1st Earl of Worcester

Thomas Percy, Earl of Worcester, KG, was an English nobleman and naval commander born in 1343. He was the younger son of Henry de Percy, 3rd Baron Percy, and Mary, daughter of Henry, 3rd Earl of Lancaster. He served as Admiral of the North from 1384 to 1385 and was created Earl of Worcester in 1397 by King Richard II. He participated in the deposition of Richard II and later joined his family in rebellion against King Henry IV.

Thomas Percy was captured at the Battle of Shrewsbury and executed by beheading on 23 July 1403. He was buried in St. Peter's, Shrewsbury, and his head was displayed on London Bridge.
