Sanchia of Provence was Queen of the Romans from 1257 until her death in 1261, married to King Richard. Born around 1225, she was the third daughter of Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Provence, and Beatrice of Savoy. Known for her incomparable beauty, she married Richard, then an English prince and Earl of Cornwall, in 1243. Sanchia was crowned alongside her husband at Aachen Cathedral in 1257.

Sanchia died on 9 November 1261 at Berkhamsted Castle and was buried on 15 November in Hailes Abbey. Her husband, Richard, continued as King of the Romans after her death.
