Robert II, Archbishop of Rouen and Count of Évreux, was a prominent ecclesiastical figure and a member of the House of Normandy. Born before 989, he was the son of Richard I, Duke of Normandy, and Gunnor. Appointed as archbishop around 989–990, Robert also received the county of Évreux, aligning his religious duties with political influence.
Throughout his life, Robert was deeply involved in Norman politics, supporting his brother Richard II and later advising his nephew, Duke Robert I. His relationship with Duke Robert I was tumultuous, leading to his temporary exile and the excommunication of the duke. Eventually, they reconciled, and Robert was reinstated to his positions, facilitating peace between Normandy and Brittany.
Robert II died in 1037. His title of Archbishop of Rouen was succeeded by his nephew, Mauger.
