Prince Andrew, Duke of York, KG, GCVO, CD, born Andrew Albert Christian Edward, is a British royal family member. Born to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, he is the younger brother of King Charles III. Initially second in line for the British throne, he is currently eighth. His naval career includes serving as a helicopter pilot and instructor, and as a warship captain. Notably, he flew missions during the Falklands War. His marriage to Sarah Ferguson in 1986, followed by their separation and eventual divorce, garnered significant media attention. Andrew has two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and performed official duties on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II until stepping back in 2020.
