Maud Chaworth was an English noblewoman born on 2 February 1282. She was the only child of Patrick de Chaworth, Baron of Kidwelly, and Isabella de Beauchamp. After her father's death in 1283, Maud became a wealthy heiress and was placed under the guardianship of Queen Eleanor.
In 1292, King Edward I granted Edmund Crouchback the right to arrange Maud's marriage, leading to her union with Henry, 3rd Earl of Lancaster, before 2 March 1297. Through this marriage, Maud brought properties to her husband, including lands in Hampshire, Glamorgan, Wiltshire, and Carmarthenshire. Together, they had seven children, including Henry of Grosmont and Blanche, Baroness Wake of Liddell.
Maud Chaworth died on 3 December 1322 at the age of 40. Her husband, Henry, succeeded to the titles of Earl of Lancaster and Leicester after her death.
