Margaret Neville

Margaret Neville, also known as Margaret Percy, was born on February 12, 1339, to Ralph Neville, 2nd Baron Neville of Raby, and Alice Audley. She became Countess of Northumberland through her marriage to Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland, on July 12, 1358. She bore children, including Henry Percy, known as ‘Hotspur’, Thomas Percy, and Ralph Percy. Margaret Neville is depicted in William Shakespeare’s ‘Henry IV, Part 2’.
