John, Lord Beaumont

John Beaumont was an English nobleman with French and Scottish ancestry. He was the eldest son of Henry, Lord Beaumont, and Alice Comyn. His father Henry, Lord Beaumont was second cousin to Edward II while his maternal heritage linked him to Scottish nobility. John married into the Lancastrian dynasty, further establishing his noble status. He died in a jousting accident aged 24 and had been Lord Beaumont for two years.
