Harold (c. 1065 – 1098) was a son of Harold Godwinson, King of England. Born into one of the most powerful families in Anglo-Saxon England, his paternal grandfather was Godwin, Earl of Wessex. His father, Harold Godwinson, was crowned king of England in 1066. Harold was likely born posthumously in Chester, where his mother, Ealdgyth, had fled from the advancing Norman forces.
Driven into exile by the Norman conquest, Harold found refuge at the court of the king of Norway. In 1098, he joined Magnus III Barelegs on an expedition to Orkney, the Hebrides, the Isle of Man, and Anglesey. Harold died in 1098, with no further details on his death or burial available.
