Elizabeth Tudor was the second daughter and fourth child of Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York. She was born at Sheen Palace in Surrey, which was later rebuilt by her father as Richmond Palace. Her wet nurse was Cecily Burbage, a married gentlewoman from Hayes. Elizabeth Tudor passed away at Eltham Palace in Kent at the young age of three years and two months. She was buried at Westminster Abbey, where her tomb was made from Purbeck and black marble. An effigy of copper gilt and inscriptions were once part of her monument but have since disappeared.
