Elizabeth de Burgh, Duchess of Clarence, and suo jure 4th Countess of Ulster and 5th Baroness of Connaught, was a Norman-Irish noblewoman. She married Lionel of Antwerp, 1st Duke of Clarence. Born at Carrickfergus Castle near Belfast, Ireland, she was the only child of William Donn de Burgh, 3rd Earl of Ulster, and Maud of Lancaster, Countess of Ulster, and the last senior legitimate descendant of William de Burgh.

Following her father’s murder, Elizabeth became the sole legal heir to the de Burgh lands in Ireland at the age of 11 months. Raised in England, she married Lionel of Antwerp on 15 August 1352. They had one child, Philippa, who succeeded Elizabeth as Countess of Ulster. Elizabeth’s death occurred in Dublin in 1363, and she was buried at Bruisyard Abbey, Suffolk.
