Eleanor of Lancaster

Elizabeth de Bohun was born in 1313 at Castle Badlesmere, Kent, England, to Bartholomew de Badlesmere and Margaret de Clare. At the age of eight, she and her family were imprisoned in the Tower of London after her mother refused entry to Queen consort Isabella at Leeds Castle. Elizabeth was married to Sir Edmund Mortimer at the age of three, although the marriage was not consummated until later due to her young age.

In 1335, Elizabeth married William de Bohun, 1st Earl of Northampton, which helped to resolve tensions between the Bohun and Mortimer families. She was a co-heiress of her brother Giles de Badlesmere, and upon his death in 1338, she inherited several estates. Elizabeth had four children, including Roger Mortimer, 2nd Earl of March, and Humphrey de Bohun, 7th Earl of Hereford.

Elizabeth de Bohun died on 8 June 1356 and was buried at Black Friars Priory, London. Her brother's barony fell into abeyance upon his death, and her share of the estates was divided among her and her sisters.
