Eleanor de Bohun, born around 1366, was the elder daughter and co-heiress with her sister, Mary de Bohun, of Humphrey de Bohun, 7th Earl of Hereford, and Joan Fitzalan, who was a daughter of Richard FitzAlan, 10th Earl of Arundel, and his second wife Eleanor of Lancaster. In 1376, she married Thomas of Woodstock, 1st Duke of Gloucester, the youngest son of Edward III of England and Philippa of Hainault, and they resided at Pleshey Castle, Essex. Eleanor was tasked, along with her husband, with the tutelage of her younger sister, Mary.

Eleanor and Thomas had five children. She was made a Lady of the Garter in 1384 and became a nun after 1397 at Barking Abbey. Before her death, she distributed her holdings among her children. Eleanor passed away on 3 October 1399 and was laid to rest in Westminster Abbey.
