Sir Edmund de la Pole was an English knight known for his role as Captain of Calais and his service in various political positions. He was the second son of Sir William de la Pole of Hull and the younger brother of Michael de la Pole, 1st Earl of Suffolk. Edmund held the position of Captain of Calais castle and was in control of the town from 1384 to 1388. Additionally, he served as the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire in 1389 and became a Justice of the Peace in 1390. He was elected as a knight of the shire, serving as a Member of Parliament for Buckinghamshire in 1376 and 1383, and for Cambridgeshire in 1395.

Through his first marriage to Elizabeth de Haudlo, he fathered Elizabeth de la Pole. His second marriage to Maud Lovett produced a son, Walter, who later became Constable of Ireland. Sir Edmund de la Pole passed away on 3 August 1419 at his estate in Boarstall, Buckinghamshire.
