Edmund, 2nd Earl of Kent, was a member of the English royal family born around 1326. He became the Earl of Kent in 1331 following the posthumous restoration of his father’s title. His father was Edmund of Woodstock, 1st Earl of Kent, and his mother was Margaret Wake, 3rd Baroness Wake of Liddell.
His brief tenure as Earl of Kent began upon the reversal of his father’s attaintment in 1330, following a petition by his mother. Edmund’s life was short-lived, passing away at the tender age of five. His younger brother, John, succeeded him as the 3rd Earl of Kent at just one year old.
