Henry III of Bar was Count of Bar from 1291 until his death in 1302. He began his military career as a knight in his father’s conflict with the Bishop of Metz and later served Frederick III, Duke of Lorraine. Henry was drawn into the war between France and England after his marriage to Eleanor of England. He died in Naples from wounds sustained while assisting Charles II of Naples.
