Anne de Mortimer was a medieval English noblewoman whose lineage became critical to the establishment of the House of York’s claim to the English throne during the Wars of the Roses. Her son, Richard, Duke of York, and her grandsons, kings Edward IV and Richard III, as well as her great-grandson Edward V, were significant figures in English history.
