Alice de Hales

Alice de Hales was the daughter of Sir Roger de Hales of Hales Hall in Loddon in Roughton, Norfolk, and his wife Alice Skogan. She married Thomas of Brotherton, the eldest son of King Edward I by his second marriage to Margaret of France, and through this marriage, she became the mother of Edward of Norfolk, who was born around 1313 and died before 9 August 1334. Alice’s connection to the Plantagenet lineage made her a figure of historical interest, particularly through her son and her direct ties to the English royal family.
